01 — The evaluation
Getting a clear picture first
Before anything else, we do a thorough evaluation. That means a clinical interview with you and your child, standardized rating scales, and a review of what's been observed at school and at home. We also screen for anxiety, depression, and other conditions that show up alongside ADHD in kids and teens, because treating the wrong thing helps no one. You'll leave with a written report and a plain-language explanation of what we found.
02 — Building a plan
A plan that fits your child, not a template
Once we have a diagnosis, we work with you to put together a treatment plan based on your child's age, how ADHD is showing up for them specifically, and what your family's priorities are. For some kids that's medication. For others it's behavioral strategies, therapy, or a combination. We explain the options, answer your questions, and make the decision together.
03 — Ongoing treatment
Regular check-ins as they grow
ADHD doesn't stay the same as a child moves through school and adolescence. We schedule regular follow-up appointments to track how things are going, adjust medication if needed, and make sure the approach is keeping up with where your child is developmentally. You're not handed a prescription and sent home. We stay involved for as long as it's useful.
04 — School & family support
Documentation and guidance for the people around them
We provide the documentation schools need for accommodations, IEPs, and 504 plans. We also talk through practical strategies with parents so you have tools for what's happening at home, not just at appointments. When teachers, parents, and providers are working from the same information, kids do better. That coordination is part of what we do.

My child's teacher says they're not paying attention. Is that enough to get an evaluation?
It's a good reason to start. Teacher observations are actually a useful part of any evaluation, since ADHD needs to show up in more than one setting. You don't need a referral from the school or a pediatrician — you can book directly with us.
My child was screened before and nothing came up. Should we try again?
It can be worth a closer look, especially if things haven't improved. Brief screenings miss a lot, and ADHD in kids doesn't always look like the textbook version. A full evaluation gives a much more complete picture than a quick checklist.
Will ADHD medication affect my child's personality or appetite?
Those are common concerns, and your provider will walk through them honestly before suggesting anything. Medication is one option, not the only one, and any treatment plan we put together takes your child's full health history and your family's priorities into account.
Do we need a referral?
Nope. You can book straight with us — no referral from a pediatrician or school required — and we usually have same-week and weekend openings.
What does the evaluation involve for a kid or teen?
We use validated rating scales, a clinical interview with your child and with you as the parent, and a review of what's being observed at home and school. We screen for anxiety and depression too, since they often come alongside ADHD. You'll get a written report before you leave.
Can we do appointments online, or does my child need to come in?
We offer both in-person and secure online visits across Idaho. For ongoing treatment and follow-up appointments, telehealth works well for most families. You can switch between the two whenever it makes sense for your schedule.
Will you provide documentation for school accommodations?
Yes. The written report from your child's evaluation can be used to support requests for accommodations, a 504 plan, or an IEP. If the school needs anything specific, let us know and we'll make sure the report covers it.
How much does it cost, and do you take insurance?
